The name Aristata originates from a rare species of the fynbos family "Erica Aristata" and can only be found on the high slopes  of the mountain range that  forms a spectacular backdrop to the picturesque Hermanus.

The Western Cape coastal resort of Hermanus is renowned not only for its whales but also for its indigenous flora known as "fynbos"
